A local agricultural company is seeking a Dairy Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the performance of their dairy business. With a focus on revenue growth and continuous training, the Dairy Operations Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainable development of the company’s dairy unit.

The agricultural company is looking for a proactive and dynamic Dairy Operations Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth, coordinating business development efforts, monitoring milk production levels, overseeing production and processing operations, and managing the financial aspects of the dairy business.

We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills, familiarity with automated systems, and a strong background in commercial dairy production, processing, and sales/marketing. Remuneration details are not provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a robust strategy to ensure the sustainable growth of the dairy business.
• Coordinate business development activities, identifying new opportunities to expand the business.
• Monitor milk production levels and ensure an adequate supply to meet customer demand.
• Oversee milk production and processing operations, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
• Train employees on hygiene and safety practices, promoting a culture of best practices.
• Manage the financial aspects of the dairy business, including profit and loss responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with dairy, health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to all corporate governance policies, processes, and procedures.
• Coordinate research and development efforts to enhance product offerings and efficiency.
• Create and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the customer base.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Track, analyze, and communicate key business trends related to the dairy business.
• Coordinate negotiation, execution, and management of Account Agreements and Contracts.
• Mobilize and coordinate human and financial resources for smooth business operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Livestock/Animal Science/Veterinary Sciences/Production Engineering or equivalent.
• Certificate/Diploma in Dairy Processing or Post Harvest Technology is a plus.
• Master’s Degree in Marketing/Business Administration is an added advantage.
• At least four (4) years of hands-on experience in commercial dairy production, processing, and sales/marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with automated systems and a wide range of dairy products.
• Versed in HACCP programs.
• Strong supervisory skills.
