Shepco Industrial Supplies is looking for a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join the company’s dynamic team in Bulawayo. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for producing toolage to specified dimensional and finish standards.
This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in toolmaking techniques, and the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision. Please note that remuneration details are not provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure timeous delivery of production toolage requirements and execute external customer orders.
- Produce toolage to specified dimensional and finish standards.
- Identify and store materials correctly to ensure proper inventory management.
- Optimize consumables usage, particularly tool steels, oils, cutting tools, grinding stones, etc.
- Maintain and operate toolmaking equipment and machinery.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality and functionality of produced toolage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to toolage production and performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing toolmaking tasks.
- Keep accurate records of production activities and maintain documentation for future reference.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Class One Journeyman Certificate in Tool Jig and Die Making.
- At least one year of post-qualification experience in toolmaking.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Proficiency in toolmaking techniques and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
